Important information

Things to know about the Driver Improvement Clinic:

- The Driver Improvement Clinic is an 8-hour class.

- If you have a court-ordered referral, only the court can decide if you get safe driver points.

- If you are taking the class voluntarily, you can earn 5 safe driver points.

- You can only take the class once every two years.

- If you are required to complete the clinic for DMV, you must do so within 90 days or your license will be suspended until the service has been completed.

- If you have a CDL, you must complete a clinic specifically designed for commercial drivers. Here is the link for those classes: https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/drivers/#comclinics.asp
