JOHN TYLER ASAP WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC THE WEEK OF JUNE 14, 2021
If a client has received a DUI in the state of Virginia but does not live in Virginia then an out of state transfer can be completed. The client must enroll at the ASAP that handles the city/county were the conviction occurred. John Tyler ASAP serves the cities and counties of: Chesterfield, Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie, Emporia, Greensville, Henrico, Hopewell, Petersburg, Powhatan, Prince George, Surry and Sussex.
In order to complete this process the client must submit documentation related to their enrollment.

Once John Tyler ASAP has received all that is listed above, a case manager will contact the client by phone to complete their intake interview and review guidelines for enrolling in a program in their state. Clients are encouraged NOT to begin any education or treatment groups in their state until they have received approval by the case manager.
Clients are also reminded that they are responsible for the cost of the out of state program as well as the $300 ASAP enrollment fee.
WHAT IF THE DUI WAS RECEIVED IN ANOTHER STATE?
If a client lives in Virginia but has to complete ASAP for a DUI received in another state then they are to come into the John Tyler ASAP office with the following:
Filling out the Intake Packet prior to enrolling for an out of state charge is NOT encouraged. Clients need to be prepared to complete those documents in office once it is verified that John Tyler ASAP is the correct program based on their out of state requirements.
The offices will be closed to the public the week of June 14, 2021.
Both locations will re-open for public transactions on
Monday, June 21, 2021.
